FW AW10: REDKEN & CoverGirl @ Versace

REDKEN & CoverGirl @ Versace
Capturing the Versace runway vision of a woman who’s just disembarked from a motorbike, albeit en route to lunch rather than on a road trip, the Versace woman showed her daytime face.“
A day-old blow-dry” was how Redken creative consultant Guido Palau described the tousled, loose look of the hair, which was inspired by “Donatella Versace herself.”

Get the Look
To achieve a natural bounce, Palau blew hair dry, before pinning it onto rollers and spritzing it with Redken finishing lotion for an injection of volume, ensuring the brand’s hallmark glamour stayed in first gear all the way down the runway.

Pat McGrath, the global cosmetics design director for P&G beauty, created a smudged, natural eye, set against healthy, dewy skin. She added Cover Girl’s Simply Ageless Sculpting Blush in cool pink to complete the fresh face. Eyebrows were “groomed to perfection” and, this being the Versace woman, of course, even the natural look wasn’t complete without a set of false eyelashes to complement Cover Girl’s LashBlast Length mascara in black.
