Givenchy & John Frieda @ Givenchy
Hairstylist Luigi Murenu summed up the vibe Givenchy designer Riccardo Tisci was going for: "This is definitely an edgy woman—she is not classic." The collection consisted mostly of blacks, beiges, and reds. (With a few ostrich feathers thrown in for good measure.) Shades of red were echoed in the eyes, and of course, on the lips. McGrath told us that Tisci had requested a sparkly red mouth—and McGrath delivered. On each model's lips: red lipstick, lip pencil, glitter, and gloss. "It's a decadent red lip," she said. "It's very beautiful, very strong."
Get the Look
Models’ eyebrows were bleached and their skin kept natural looking. After smudging a bit red eyeshadow around eyes with sponge brush, Pat McGrath concocted striking, three-dimensional red, sparkly mouths created using Givenchy Rouge Interdit Satin Lipstick in Absolutely Irresistable Red and MAC Pro Red Glitter and MAC Clear Gloss to top. To help achieve the look, Luigi Murenu used John Frieda’s volume-enhancing mousse and hairspray.
