Sebastian Professional @ Thuy
Parsons alumna Thuy Diep’s Spring 2010 collection of bold, tailored, and sensuous pieces for the confident fashionista. The look, 1930’s Glamour with a touch of S&M, created by Elaine Mitchell, Senior Creative Director for Sassoon Salon.

Mitchell wanted to play up the S&M accents found in Thuy’s use of zippers by creating a complementary hair style that was lacquered, shiny, leather-esque but still lady-like.
Mitchell and team begin by sectioning three panels of wet hair including an off-center part. Each section is coated with Mousse Forte and Gel Forte to keep the hybrid fishtail/chignon from unraveling out of bobby pins. Shine Define is applied last to bring shine and hold to ensure every brilliant strand is in its proper place.
