LFW S/S '10: Make Up For Ever @ Lewis

Make Up For Ever @ Lewis
“Uptown glamour with a downtown edge,” described James about his look for the Lewis show. Full of admiration for designer Allison Lewis, he said, “I definitely think we have similar aesthetics, and I was really inspired by her line. There’s a great strength to her clothing, but it’s also very whimsy.” Allison envisioned teenage rebellion when creating her spring collection: girls getting into trouble all while wearing pretty clothes. To match this idea, James paired fresh skin (to evoke a pretty innocence) with bright pink, fuchsia, and orange lips (for that little bit of mischief).

Get the Look
He first spritzed skin with elixir to perfect complexion and to give off a radiant glow. He then applied HD foundation for a flawless look and used MAKE UP FOR EVER Flash Color in #2 Coral on the cheeks, eyes and lips. “The best part about this product is that you can throw it on when you're in the car, stuck in traffic.” Lashes were long and separated, and brows were full and finished in a slightly lighter shade to avoid a heavy look. After first applying Flash Color on lips, that oh-so-naughty bright pop of color was achieved with lipstick and gloss.
