NYFW S/S '10: Tarte @ Hayden Harnett

Stila @ Hayden Harnett
Hayden-Harnett's nomadic collection was inspired by "lava fields and desert landscapes." To complement the graphic feel of the clothing and accessories Tarte kept the makeup natural with an über geometric brow. Think 1980s Brooke Shields brows meets the wave of the future.

Get the Look
Apply foundation all over skin with a brush, correct red spots or dark circles with dabs of concealer, then set with a loose mineral powder. For that healthy glow, apply bronzer to the cheeks and then lightly pat a cheek stain to your apples. Barely there lips are easy to score when you use concealer as a base and then top off with a sheer nude and peachy-pink gloss. Since the focus is all about the arches, it's important to keep the eyes soft with soft shimmering tones of buff and by lining the top lids with a chocolate pencil. A light coat of mascara on top and bottom lashes help balance out bold brow. Brush hairs in an upward direction at the beginning of the arch and the tail hairs down in the direction of hair growth. With a brow pencil fill in any gaps, define the arch and create an extended tail. Keep unruly hairs in place and lock in color with brow gel.
