NYFW S/S '10: Aveda @ Teen Vogue Fashion Show

Aveda @ Teen Vogue Fashion Show
Teen Vogue is the premier publication for the younger generation when it comes to fashion, beauty, and celebrity news. Keeping in rhythm with the mag's youthful spirit, the makeup at the Spring 2010 show was all about enhancing natural features. Miles created a look that was all about "luminous skin." An oil-free, tinted moisturizer provided the perfect foundation for a fresh face and liquid eye shimmer accentuated the lids. Cheeks and lips were painted with fruity tones to perfect a blush look. And lashes lightly coated with a black mascara. Beenders molded a variety of looks to celebrate the individuality in every girl. "Some models we gave a braid to the side - swooping hair over into a either a straight or textured braid to toughen up their pure look. We also did a center part to create a spine braid for a tribal-ish effect, but we made it chic. And others, we sleekly pulled hair back into a ponytail and scrunched to the side to muck it up a bit."

GET THE LOOK - MAKEUP: All by Aveda. Inner Light Shimmer Accents in Moonstone on eyes. Inner Light Tinted Mositure in various shades applied to the face. Petal Essence Cheek Color in Apricot Glow dusted on cheeks and Lip Glaze in Mango Juice for a shiny pout. Lashes thickened with Mosscara in Black Forest.

GET THE LOOK - HAIR: All by Aveda. Hair was prepped with Texturizing Creme (available January 2010) - a wax that adds moisture to straight hair. Air Control Hair Spray added over the top to add shine and hold in pace. And to finish, a very fine kabuki makeup brush doused with Pure Fume Brilliant Spray is glided over for sleekness.
