NYFW S/S '10: Maybelline @ Alexandre Herchcovitch

"Alexandre was inspired by American football players," said Charlotte Willer, makeup artist. "The models look hot and flushed but in the most glamorous way." For hair, Rolando Beauchamp worked closely with the designer to create the look. "Alexandre wanted the hair up in tight chignons," he said. But to make it stand out in the season's sea of buns, Beauchamp added a unique c-shaped part for a futuristic dimension.

"It's a fresh, easy, 5 minute look," said Willer. Cheeks were the standout feature, and Willer created a strong flush using Mineral Sheers Blush in Gentle Pink. To softly enhance each models' eye color, she used Mineral Sheers Blush in True Peach in the lids. "Peach on the eyes is very flattering on everyone," she said. "It brings out all eye colors, from brown to blue to green." Lips stayed neutral with Lipstick in Born With It.

Beauchamp slicked hair with Bumble and Bumble Sculpting Gel and used a fine tooth comb to create the part, starting at the center of the forehead and angling it out towards the ears, then curving it inwards to run across the back of the head to create a "C" shape. He brushed the hair below the part back and smoothed the hair above the part around the side of the head and towards the back, gathering the whole of the hair into a tightly wrapped bun.
