FW AW10: Revlon @ Richard Chai

Revlon @ Richard Chai
Plaid shorts-suit (which opened the show); photo-printed dresses with minimal Victorian ruffles; bottle-green anorak and slouchy quilted shorts; heavily embellished tulle vest and tank-mixed in with Chai's signature boyfriend-style separates were the highlights of the show. For the makeup, makeup artist Gucci Westman found her inspiration from Antoine de Saint-Exupéry's title character in "The Little Prince," though with a feminine, sultry twist. Vivid red lips stood out against nude eyes and clean skin just gently touched with luminizer and finishing powder. .

Gucci Westman dusted PhotoReady Translucent Finishing Powder to clean the skin, and set eyes with brightening nude shades from the Illuminance Palette in Not Just Nudes. The highlight of the face - the bold red lip - is a sneak peek at the Suede Rhapsody Multi-Use Palette that Westman designed, which will debut in drugstores in the Fall. "If you do a red lip, you've got to make sure your lips are exfoliated first, with either a warm wet towel or a lip scrub. And lipliner to create a crisp line around the mouth is a must too," advises Westman.
