Guerlain has unveiled a new mascara, called Le 2 De Guerlain Volume. As its name suggests, the product is said to deliver volume to lashes, underscored by an intense vinyl finish, courtesy of two different applicator brushes.
The first step delivers “outrageous volume and extreme curves”, according to the brand, thanks to a combination of two complementary polymers. The brush for this step features hollow fibres – which create a reservoir effect for optimal pick-up – and a criss-cross arrangement to catch even the smallest of lashes.
The second step, a type of top coat, is applied via a small foam applicator. Wax-free, the formula delivers additional shine and a long-lasting finish, Guerlain maintains.
“This mascara’s texture is so fluid and easy to apply that it can be added as desired in endless layers,” noted Guerlain Creative Director Olivier Echaudemaison. The mascara case was designed by Helle Damkjaer. It comprises a black sleeve stamped with the house’s signature. Le 2 De Guerlain Volume Mascara is available in two shades: Noir (black) Laque and Brun (brown) Laque.
