NYFW S/S '10: Stila, Oscar Blandi & Lippman @ Julie Haus

Stila, Oscar Blandi & Lippman @ Julie Haus
For her Spring 2010 collection, Julie Haus drew inspiration from Charlie Chaplin and his film "The Circus." The subtle, vintage-like collection provided the perfect backdrop for an undone, yet sexy look.Lucero conceptualized a look where all the focus was on the eyes. Lucero brought in a bit of spring to a predominately natural face with a heavy, purple eye. "Schleping in color highlights the natural shadows without looking overdone and gives a hint of a smoky eye," she said. Lippmann continued the grunge appeal by selecting a dark, metal nail lacquer she created with rocker Pat Benatar. Blandi molded the models' hair into a dirty-clean tussle that he felt was more "avante-garde" than the wet, sleek looks we've seen on other runways. Blandi played up the hair's natural texture by mixing polishing creme and dry shampoo to round out the the subdued, yet sexy look.

GET THE LOOK - MAKEUP:
Apply a minimal amount of Natural Finish Oil-Free Makeup and Perfecting Concealer where needed. Sweep lids with Eye Shadow in Bouquet as a base and then brush Eye Shadow in Pigalle on top. To create that rich, purple tone, use the Montemarte Eye Shadow Quad. Layer lashes with Major Lash Mascara in Black or Brown for a clumpy effect and smooth Perfecting Concealer onto lips with a simple balm to complete.

GET THE LOOK - HAIR:
Use Jasmine Protein Mist to prep the hair. Diffuse. Mix Seta Silk Polishing Creme and Pronto Dry Shampoo to create a strong, piecey look. And finish with Lacca Hairspray for volume and hold.

GET THE LOOK - NAILS:
File nails down to create a round tip. Apply one coat of "Hit Me With Your Best Shot" and allow time to dry before smudging on a second layer.
