A modern retrospective of the 1950’s, the collection combines traditional cashmere with innovative lycra. The makeup look follows suit by showcasing clean and glowing skin with a quintessentially classic red lip. Sephora PRO Beauty Team was lead by Jose Rivera. “The designer mentioned that cashmere is her fetish,” said Jose about the key element in Allude’s spring collection, which was unexpectedly mixed with latex pieces. To accentuate this play on materials, Jose worked with different finishes on skin. He kept complexion clean – matte in some places, while shiny on the nose, forehead, chin and cheekbone. He layered foundation, highlighter and blush, then topped with shimmer and glycerin spray for added sheen. (At home, you can use toner in place of the glycerin spray.)

The lip was a classic and timeless red, drawn slightly smaller than the natural shape. Jose first applied concealer all around mouth to avoid harsh edges, then lined the mouth with lip liner, just under the lip line, starting at the cupid’s bow (the triangle in the center of the upper lip). “Essentially, you’re drawing your own shape,” Jose said. He applied red lipstick on top and a hint of gloss just in the center. “We’re using gloss to make the lips look bigger instead of drawing the lips big,” he explained.

Get the Look
Complexion – For a clean and wearable look, start with Sephora Mineral Compact Foundation. Add a glowing effect by first wetting brush and then applying Sephora Harmony Trio Bronzer along cheekbones.
Eyes – With the focus on the lip, go for a natural eye with the Sephora Colorful Mat Mono Eyeshadow in a neutral shade like 04. To softly accentuate the lashes, try Sephora lengthening mascara.
Lips – For a true color that pops, first apply Kat Von D Tattoo Concealer as a base. The, using the under-drawing technique, apply Kat Von D Lipstick in Underage Red to complete the timeless look.
