NYFW S/S '10: Bobbi Brown @ Elie Tahari

Bobbi Brown @ Elie Tahari
Israeli-American designer Elie Tahari is known for his bold and sophisticated designs that come together through luxurious fabrics and skilled tailoring. And for Tahari's Spring 2010 presentation, Kim Soane, Manager of Artistry for Bobbi Brown Cosmetics, perfected a "natural and sun-kissed" look to complement the beige and gold tones in the collection."For spring and summer, everyone wants that no makeup-makeup look that's fresh," said Soane. To create a healthy, outdoorsy feeling, she used her fingers to apply an iridescent, pinkish-white cream shadow -- that changes shades depending on the skin tone -- up into the brow bone. The top lashes were coated with a black mascara that has a rewetting formula to "eliminate clumping or a straw-like effect." Cheeks were dusted with an illuminating bronzer and layered with a balm for a dewy finish, while the lips were played up in a creamy, nude shade. Like the makeup, nails were kept simple, painted with a light-pink shade to create a subtle glow.
