FW AW10: Revlon & Bumble and Bumble @ Ohne Titel

Revlon & Bumble and Bumble @ Ohne Titel
Inspired by 19th century shapes and detailing, Ohne Titel took to leather and a multi-faceted gray palette for their fall collection. For hair and makeup, that meant creating a cool urban girl with luminous skin and long flyaway hair. "They wanted a little bit S&M, but natural-so I asked them if that meant Sports Illustrated," joked makeup artist and Revlon global artistic director Gucci Westman, who made shiny skin the centerpiece of the show.

Hair's thick and straight, but with movement and plenty of volume. "It's down and parted in the middle, but I wanted the texture to be thick and super-flyaway so that it would move on the runway," he said. "We wanted the girls to look like they would want to look themselves-just really cool, urban New York girls with the hair down."

Gucci Westman illuminated skin with Age Defying Spa Face Illuminator in Pink Light and gave cheeks a subtle glow with Cream Blushes in Berry Flirtatious and Rosy Glow. Westman added extra sheen to the height of cheekbones and for eyes, she used a new palette (not yet available or named) that included shades of brown, red and teal.

Jimmy Paul sprayed tons of Thickening Spray throughout damp hair to plump strands. He then sprayed the brand's Surf Spray (also on wet hair) to give hair even more volume and a bit of a dry effect. Hair was then blown dry and ironed straight. He finished the look with just a little Spray de Mode.
