FW SS11: Revlon @ Oscar de la Renta

Oscar de la Renta always promises high-glamour beauty, and this season was no exception, with a look inspired by Grace Kelly. Makeup artist and Revlon global artistic director Gucci Westman amplified the modern-day princess theme with bold color on the eyes.

Using large brushes (to avoid edges), she applied an emerald shade -see eyeshadows used below- to the eyelids and just below the lower lash line, using Revlon Matte Eye shadow in Venetian Blue. She noted that rimming the inner eyelids with black liner gives the look a fresh feel. Mascara was applied to the top and lower lashes. Lips were nude in ColorBurst Lipstick in Fashion Night Pout, and cheeks had a subtle hint of color from Cream Blush in Rosy Glow.“I wanted to show that color can be worn in a sophisticated way,” said Westman.
