Apparently, Jean Paul Gaultier had been to an exhibition about Moctezuma, the Aztec emperor, in London last year, and that—with the side influence of Avatar's tribal-eco message—is what set him off in this direction. Key words: tribal, detailed, creative, avatar.
Get the Look
Sculpted cheeks, highlighted undereyes (loose powder is used, try secret brightener.) ; then a blend of jade, maroon, green, lilac, violet, orange, gold, bronze, copper and yellow pigments from MAC Pro Line to create a tribal, funky and creative eye makeup. Lips were copper hued with mix of Clear Gloss and Pigments from MAC. Also an unknown shade of jade/aqua green used on nails. Hair was all braided up.

From the heart-shaped cartoonish hair to the rococo-heeled silver booties, the show was a mix of romanticism, space age, and incredible eye-tricking handwork—as hard to fix in one place as the mercury that seemed to be running through the seams. The clothes ranged from shorts suits to shifts, from frothy, cocooning bubbles to liquid togas. In some places, the embroideries looked like smashed glass or molten metal; in others, jewelry itself became part of the structure: A halter dress was suspended from a crystal choker, and a shoulder strap became almost indistinguishable from a diamond necklace.

The spotlight was on lips: a bold hue Peter Philips debuted, et-to-be-released Rouge Allure lipstick in Genial, part of Chanel’s upcoming summer Les Pop-Up collection (stay tuned for its due on-counter date)applied to lips with lip brush. Lipstick will be on counters in May. For cheeks, pink and coral tweed blushes are used. The models also wore a new eyeshadow duo called Ombres Contraste Duo in Gris-Subtil for slightly smoked out eyes - also a new product, too. Nails were foiled in silver with Le Vernis Nail Colour in Silver. Just as captivating were the dramatic heart-shaped hair creations Katsuya Kamo created at Chanel, who gave each look a couture touch with decorative ribbons and bows.
MAC will release a new mascara called OPULASH. Here is its photo compared to PlushLash. Mascara wand will be really big and 2 sided for dramatic results of volume. Tube is big too.

Guerlain continued Aqua Allegoria range with its latest creation for spring 2010: Flora Nymphea. A fresh, delicate and poetic perfume created by perfumer Thierry Wasser, which draws its inspiration from nature, like his bigger sisters created by Jean-Paul Guerlain.
His notes are interspersed with tender pieces orange and honey, a nod to the bee symbol stamped on Guerlain Eau de Cologne. The bright and mischievous perfume is referring to a spring garden.
For the first time, the Aqua Allegoria collection is represented by a face, Anna Selezneva, top model emerging in the world of fashion and beauty. Under the objective of Paolo Roversi, it becomes a nymph ingénue, feminine and delicate.
To celebrate this poetic tale, young artists have created an animated film in 2D. Flora Nymphea and takes life in a stunning graphical extravaganza conceived as a moving painting. In this film, the heroine Flora goes from woman to nymph and then reveals a lush, inspired by the new Aqua Allegoria fragrance. Olivia Ruiz leads the moving poetry of his voice.
Guerlain Flora Nymphéa will launch in April, and will be available in 125 ml Eau de Toilette.
