While the makeup was quite sophisticated, the hair was purposefully undone and youthful, and in fact inspired by the way the models show up backstage.
GET THE LOOK - MAKEUP
"We're doing a matte, red lip. It's quite sharp - not rounded at all. Like the old school glamour that was very strong." But to keep it from overtaking the girls' faces, Butler did little makeup elsewhere and skipped mascara. Lady Danger Lipstick from MAC was used on lips. Fingernails were kept clean and natural with a sheen, courtesy of Solar Oil. On the toes Desert Suede was used which is an opaque nude color that ''looks like tan pantyhose, but shiny.''
GET THE LOOK - HAIR
First spray Moroccanoil's new Luminous Hair Spray (launches next month) through the hair. Then use to hands to form the hair back into a low ponytail and scrunch the tail with your hands to give it undone texture.
